Creating a little girls room...

The "nursery" bedroom in our house is the smallest of our 3 bedrooms.  Conveniently (insert sarcasm text there...) it is the furthest away from the master bedroom.  But it matters little since we have baby sleep in our room for the first few months and then we shove 'em off to their own space to sleep all night long.  (I'm winking as I type this because I know EVERY family handles sleep differently...this is just what we do that works for us.)  :)
The baby room the first time.  Ya know, I forgot we even had that mobile!  We never set it up for Eddie, who preferred co-sleeping with mama for longer and by the time he got to the crib I think he was post-mobile stage...  Though I did make a name banner for Eddie, so he didn't TOTALLY get the shaft on bedroom decor.  :)

Anywhoo, I put great thought into decorating that room when I was pregnant the first time and found out we were having a boy.  I'd always wanted to be a mama of a boy and was pretty thrilled.  We went with a sporty motif that was heavy on bold colors and light on pastels.  I've really loved it and since we had boy #2 so hot on the heels of boy #1 I didn't change a thing about the space.

But now sweet, dreamy, girly little baby girl is coming along and I'm ITCHING to re-do the nursery space!  I've picked out YARDS and YARDS of Anna Maria Horner LouLouThi fabric already and am just collecting ideas (and energy) on what to do with it all.  Of course I've been spending oodles of time on Pinterest and have come up with many good ideas, I think.

I'm going to make her name wall art using wooden embroidery hoops of various sizes (and a combo of oval and round) with fabric and letters.  I can't wait to get it done and since it's my easiest (and no-sewing involved) project I think I might tackle it first.
This is so adorable that I may use a few "extra" hoops with just fabric in them.  Originally I'd planned to just use the 5 hoops I needed to spell out "Josie."

I love this fabric covered styrofoam balls wreath and think I'll probably whip it up, too.

Then I'll start sewing.  I really want to make curtains and a bed skirt.  I had planned to make sheets as I have a free pattern, but instead I think I might buy a few solid-colored sheets and embellish them with strips of my fabric or the super-awesome gigantic ric-rac ribbon I found on sale at Joann.

I'd like to make her a quilt and may do it, but I'm not really very good at quilting and with all my other projects not sure if I'll actually do it.  A friend asked about making a quilt for Josie so I may offer up a few of my LouLouThi fabrics so it all coordinates in the room.  :)

I also need to make a throw-pillow or two for the rocking chair and then DEFINITELY would like to make some swingy little apron dresses for Josie AND the handmade Waldorf doll I plan to get her before she's born.  (It'll be the gift the boys give her when she comes home from the hospital.  And I'd really love to come up with something special and handmade for Josie to give the boys when she comes home from the hospital...but what?)

Sound like fun?  What projects would you do?  Am I missing something great?  Or easy?  Or so adorable it can't be overlooked?
